In “Corporate pension funded status improves in June by $14 billion”, Milliman indicated that it found that the funded status of the hundred largest corporate defined benefit plans increased by $14 billion during June due to investment gains. They report that the funded ratio rose from 84.5% to 85.3%. The report also indicates that discount rates increased, but only by 0.02%.
