Agencies Release Semiannual Regulatory Agendas Showing Further Delays

The Department of Labor (DOL) and Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) recently released their updated semiannual regulatory agendas. These agendas provide information about regulatory projects the agencies are considering that would have a significant economic impact.

The DOL’s agenda indicates that it is planning to issue guidance on the definition of fiduciary, lifetime income statements, standards for brokerage windows, target date fund disclosures, guide for section 408(b)(2) disclosures, selection of annuity providers annual funding notice and adoption of amended and restated Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program.

The PBGC’s agenda indicates that it plans to issue guidance on the treatment of substantial cessation of operations, reportable events, missing participants, and benefit determinations and plan valuations for statutory hybrid plans.

The agendas are available here.
